Update on Fan Efficiency Requirements
For fans sold into the State of California, the requirement to meet fan efficiency criteria has been extended to April 20, 2024 (initially Nov. 16, 2023).
New California Regulation Approved for Fans & Blowers
On November 16, 2022, the California Energy Commission (CEC) approved the first ever regulation of commercial and industrial fans and blowers sold in or shipped into the state of California. The rulemaking sets minimum efficiency requirements for fans covered to be compliant with the regulation and be registered with the CEC.
